Evelyne Bowa

C.E.O and Founder

Everlyne Bowa, the founder of the Agape Woman and Child Empowerment Foundation (AWOCHE Foundation), has a remarkable journey of overcoming adversity. From battling low self-esteem, poor academic performance, and poverty to facing challenges like using rags for menstrual hygiene and enduring family issues, her life experiences have been filled with obstacles. Born to a teenage mother, Everlyne's early life was marked by hardships. Despite these challenges, in 2014, Everlyne embarked on a journey of giving back to her community during her practicum project while doing her diploma studies. With sheer determination, she started volunteering in school mentorship programs and personally funded the distribution of sanitary towels, even using her own pocket money for the cause. Her commitment to supporting women extended to providing opportunities for them to acquire various skills and boosting the businesses of those from disadvantaged backgrounds. As a graduate of Daystar University, Everlyne's educational journey has equipped her with the tools to make a difference. Her struggles have fueled her passion to ensure that others in her community do not face similar hardships. Driven by her love for her community, she founded AWOCHE Foundation, with the full name reflecting her vision: Agape (Love) for Children and Women to be Empowered to achieve their dreams despite life challenges. Through her foundation, Everlyne continues to impact lives, driven by a deep-seated desire to empower others and foster positive change in her community.
